Ping Wang, PhD candidate in the Epidemiology & Biostatistics program, won a Diana Jacobs Kalman/AFAR Scholarship for Research in the Biology of Aging for her proposal titled “Analysis of Plasma Biomarkers in the Amish to Enhance Understandings of Heritability and Genetics of Alzheimer Disease“. Ms. Wang is the second CWRU Epidemiology & Biostatistics graduate student to win this scholarship. Ms. Shiying Liu won the scholarship in 2021. Ms. Wang and Ms. Liu are mentored by Drs. Jonathan Haines and Dana Crawford, respectively.
The Diana Jacobs Kalman/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging are given annually to ten students enrolled in PhD, MD, DO, or dual degree programs who propose outstanding, focused research in the biology of aging.
