Wow, what a difference a month can make.
Remember life pre-COVID-19? It’s hard to believe now, but we all used to gather in groups and do stuff together like eat in restaurants. It seems so long ago…
One of our last meals pre-COVID-19 was lunch at Voodoo Brewery Cleveland on Lee Road. Voodoo Brewery is a relatively new establishment in the neighborhood. Open since the fall of 2019, Voodoo Brewery specializes in its own beers on tap and the usual pub fare. The Cleveland Heights location is the first outside of Pennsylvania for this Meadville, PA brewery. And we are happy to have them!
While the food cannot exactly be described as healthy, the environment is certainly uplifting. The Lee Road location is a former dry cleaners. Voodoo kept some of those decorative elements to honor the former establishment and then added some of its own touches.
In keeping with current food hall trends, Voodoo Brewery is not a full service sit-down restaurant. Instead, you order at the bar and pick it up at the kitchen window when your pager lights up. On busy weekends it can be very difficult to find a seat to eat or drink.
Oh, those were the days.
Remember, though, that this too shall pass and soon we’ll find ourselves looking for a seat to enjoy our IPA while we wait for our pagers to light up to let us know our house fermented fries are ready.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
